Stories for Change is a global campaign that celebrates and champions the transformative power of community philanthropy. Anchored in the global #ShiftThePower movement, community philanthropy highlights existing and emerging practices, new ways of deciding and doing, and alternative models for resourcing civil society. Community philanthropy is grounded in solidarity, care, mutuality, resilience, and collective power. By connecting local realities to global narratives, it demonstrates that community-led action—rooted in place—holds universal power.

Stories for Change brings this collective voice together on one platform to tell a new kind of story—one about power, agency, voice, and action.

What to expect from Stories of Change Online Festival?
Be inspired by local stories of change from around the world, from Mexico to the Philippines, short documentaries on what community power looks like in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Mozambique, a new podcast series on Mulheres Negras em Marcha (Black Women on the March) from Brazil, and a short animation on the Journey of Women in Philanthropy in Palestine, among many others!

The online Festival will begin with music, poetry performance, and a short discussion with some of the leading voices and change-makers in the movement! You don’t want to miss it!
